Chopam Cookie Policy

1. What We Store

Chopam runs as a web app and a mobile app. Like most apps, it stores small pieces of information on your device — cookies in the browser, and the equivalent local storage inside the app — so it can remember you and work properly.

This policy explains each kind, what it is for, and how to control the ones you have a choice about.

2. Always-On Storage (No Choice Needed)

Keeping you signed in, so you are not asked to log in on every screen.

Keeping your cart, your chosen delivery location, your language and your light/dark theme.

Remembering this cookie choice, so we do not ask you again on every visit.

Caching app files so the marketplace opens on a weak connection, and keeping your place in the app as you move between screens.

These are needed for the app to work and to keep your account secure, so they cannot be switched off from inside the app. Your browser or phone settings can still clear them, but parts of Chopam will stop working if you do.

3. Advertising Storage (Your Choice)

On the desktop web version we show advertising through Google AdSense to help keep Chopam free to use.

Google may set its own cookies or read your device identifiers to serve those ads and to limit how often you see the same one. Those cookies belong to Google, not to Chopam.

None of it loads before you accept it. If you choose "Essential only", no advertising script or advertising cookie is loaded at all, and the app works exactly the same otherwise.

Your Chopam account details — your name, phone number, delivery address, orders and wallet — are not passed to Google for advertising, and we do not use them to build advertising profiles about you.

4. What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

We do not use your order history or delivery address to target advertising at you.

We do not load optional advertising on the mobile app or on phone-sized screens at all.

5. Changing Your Choice

You can accept or refuse advertising cookies in the banner the first time you use the app.

You can change your mind at any time: use "Cookie settings" in the footer or on your Profile page. We will then ask again, and your new choice applies from then on.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser or phone settings. Blocking essential storage will sign you out and can stop the cart and offline mode from working.
